I first met Unbounded Capital partners Dave and Zach while we all lived in the Bay area in 2018 while I was running a monthly Bitcoin SV meetup in San Francisco. As someone fully entrenched in Bitcoin technology for almost 3 years now, I constantly evaluate emerging products, services, and businesses I see building on Bitcoin SV.
2021 was an exciting year in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space which brought soaring asset valuations for both publicly traded crypto assets and private equity. Unbounded Capital believes the strong foundations laid in Bitcoin SV in 2021 will support enormous value creation in 2022 and beyond.
At Unbounded Capital we are confident that the potential of Bitcoin will incentivize the Haste’s of today to be the Flappy Bird’s of tomorrow but with much more upside potential than was possible prior to Bitcoin’s proliferation as BSV. We anticipate entirely new markets being unlocked by Bitcoin’s micropayments and data ownership functionality and expect businesses like HandCash and Haste to play a significant role in defining the business landscape of the next several years to come.
In the midst of a contentious debate over election integrity, it’s hard to imagine actionable solutions that could be acceptable to both sides of the political divide. Could a Bitcoin-influenced cryptographic improvement to our election processes possibly provide a solution that satisfies both sides?
The degree to which accusations of fraud are flung around the Bitcoin world is disappointing. The price of this confusion will be felt acutely by few, but will impact far more through its delay of a transformative technology’s progress. Unfortunate as it may be, there is no doubt that fraud exists. Of course, scams of various sorts have been a constant feature of the early Bitcoin/blockchain industry, an industry that is very attractive to the “fast money” crowd. But, none of these are the fraud of the century.
It has been a big week for BTC. PayPal’s announcement that they would support the token instantly expanded the network available to token holders seeking to use their BTC. Likely due in part to the news, the price of BTC has grown significantly and once again surpassed $13,000 USD.
The price required to buy the token is not the only thing on the rise, so too is the price of using it.
