After almost six months of work, we are nearly ready to launch the NFTY Jigs platform via our first game, Duro Dogs. We want to sincerely thank everyone who has helped us get to this point including our partners, HandCash and RUN, as well as all of our fabulous presale participants. We could not have done this without you.

HandCash is coming to NFTY Jigs!
Perhaps our biggest announcement is our partnership with HandCash. When we built the NFTY Jigs wallet this past Spring, the sentiment within the NFTY Jigs team was unanimous - this would be a better product on HandCash. Thankfully, we were able to make that a reality. HandCash will be, at least for the foreseeable future, the exclusive wallet of NFTY Jigs. HandCash’s unique feature set makes the NFTY Jigs experience we want to deliver possible. We are 100% focused on interoperability of assets between games, not between wallets. Focusing on HandCash exclusively will be the best way for us to realize this vision.
Meet Gamedrop Jigs!
Folks, we made a mistake. We used the same name for our platform and for the digital goods we sold in our presale, NFTY Jigs. This got really confusing for everyone extremely quickly. So, we decided to rename the presold goods to something more intuitive - Gamedrop Jigs!
Gamedrop Jigs fulfill our original vision: a set of goods which could take on totally different meaning in different games. Adding a new meaning, a new game to these goods is like an airdrop, but of a game, so a Gamedrop! Owning a Gamedrop Jig is like owning an airdrop token, except instead of getting new tokens, you get new games via digital goods specifically crafted for that game.
Our goal for Gamedrop Jigs is to make them as useful and fun as possible. Accordingly, we have clarified a few features in development. The first of these is that items sent to Gamedrop Jigs will be independently transferable. If you are a Hash War player but not a Duro Dogs player, don’t sweat it. You can keep the Hash War cards and sell the Duro Dogs. As new items are “game-dropped,” Gamedrop Jig holders can keep those or pass them on.
Another important feature we are making use of immediately is the ability for creators to charge a supplemental fee to unlock a game-dropped item. This is extremely important for two reasons. First, it means more items can be game-dropped without leaving creators unable to generate revenue on those items. Creators can game-drop free items, or attach a fee to unlock. Either way, the item is uniquely available to the Gamedrop Jig holder. The second reason this is useful is because it helps to limit supply for game-dropped items. We anticipate a world with billions of Gamedrop Jigs. If every Gamedrop instantly yielded billions of an item, they could lose all value limiting the fun. An initial fee helps to match supply with demand. Duro Dogs will utilize this feature with an adoption fee of 99 cents. Hash War will not. Presale participants will receive their Duro Dogs without paying the adoption fee.
The last important thing to note is that not all digital goods on NFTY Jigs need to originate from Gamedrop Jigs. NFTY Jigs is a general purpose platform for digital goods. Gamedrop Jigs are a special feature to help new games connect with players. By making utilization of Gamedrop Jigs optional, we can make the NFTY Jigs ecosystem much larger and more vibrant, which will help deliver far more fun to Gamedrop Jig holders.
When do I get my Duro Dogs?
Okay, okay! Your patience will not need to last much longer. We are “all systems go” for a mid-fall release. We think launching the game is the #1 objective for the long-term success of NFTY Jigs. Duro Dogs can be played for free, so you can share the game with anyone you know regardless of whether they have or want BSV. Playing the game is a great way to actually earn your first BSV without any up-front monetary investment.
This means that other things like the NFTY Jigs application, the NFTY Jigs store, and a public release of the NFTY Jigs API will come later. We expect most if not all of these to be available by the end of the year. Very importantly, presale participants will need to wait just a little longer after the initial release of Duro Dogs to receive their Gamedrop Jigs and the associated Duro Dogs. Securely issuing the Gamedrop Jigs to presale participants is a process we decided to wait to take on until after the game was launched. We think this was the right decision for the long-term health of the NFTY Jigs ecosystem. We will keep you posted on when and how to register your Gamedrop Jigs inside of HandCash. Once those Gamedrop Jigs are registered, we will be sending a special, limited edition item for your Duro Dogs for each Gamedrop Jig purchased in the presale.
