Coingeek Zurich Recap

Recently, Bitcoin news and media outlet Coingeek hosted a 3-day conference in Zurich, gathering minds from in and outside the BSV community to share and learn about project development on BSV blockchain.

The Bitcoin SV Technical Standards Committee, an organization seeking to enhance interoperability through standardization, shared the organization’s roadmap for enabling greater accessibility and interoperability across the entire Bitcoin SV ecosystem.

UC Partner and Unbounded Enterprise CEO Jack Laskey took the stage for a panel on day 3 titled Building Business Applications on BSV. Sporting an exclusive Nfty Jigs hoodie to promote UE’s digital token gaming solution, Laskey shared UE’s vision of driving adoption through simplifying processes and leveraging micropayments to create bigger and better applications.

I was fortunate enough to speak amongst intelligent thought leaders during the BSV is Green Bitcoin panel. Renewable energy becomes more attractive to miners as it becomes more efficient. This fact is amplified by the incentives of proof-of-work which are core to Bitcoin’s design. As Bitcoin’s environmental impact has become more relevant, our research into the topic has prompted us to write a book on why Bitcoin is one of the most eco-friendly technologies ever. We are excited to release this book in the near future and we will let you know when it is published!

Overall the conference was an all-encompassing assemblage of ambitious thought-leaders and inspired entrepreneurs. After attending, I am more motivated than ever to contribute to the ecosystem’s development.
